What is Pomace Olive Oil?
Olive fruits, through a mechanical process, produce Virgin Olive Oil (VOO) and Pomace.
Pomace is a physical, semi-solid residue left after olive oil is extracted from olive fruits. The pomace still has some oil content.
Pomace undergoes Chemical Extraction, usually with organic solvents like hexane, to produce Crude Pomace Oil, which in turn undergoes the Refining Process to produce Refined Olive Pomace Oil.
Refined Pomace Olive Oil is mixed with VOO (5-10%) to produce Olive Pomace Oil.
