How to properly store olive oil?

Extra virgin olive oil is a delicate food product whose quality is vulnerable to air, heat, light, and moisture.

Proper storage conditions are a must to maintain its quality, integrity, and freshness.

  • Store EVOO in a cool, dark place away from direct light, both natural and artificial
  • Store EVOO at a temperature below 27°C, the ideal being 15 °C- 20 °C (60 F to 68 F
  • Use a dark glass bottle or a tin
  • Seal the container right after use
  • Consume EVOO before the best by date
